Game developer Ubisoft officially announced the heavily rumored game "Far Cry 6" at its digital event titled Ubisoft Forward. A few days ago, "Mandalorian" actor Giancarlo Esposito was leaked as the game's main antagonist. With the game now officially launched, fans now have more information on the setting, gameplay, features, release date, and the main protagonist of "Far Cry 6."
"Far Cry 6" Details
Ubisoft earlier pulled back the curtain for "Far Cry 6" by dropping a couple of trailers, which neither feature gameplay from the sequel. The trailers reveal the main baddie, which is "Breaking Bad's" Giancarlo Esposito playing the role of Anton Castillo. He is the president of the Island of Yara, while players will reprise the role of the main protagonist Dani Rojas.
Based on the announcement, players could choose to either be a female of a male protagonist. The character's primary goal is to overthrow Castillo and his son Diego-groomed to be the successor of the ruler through guerilla warfare. According to Ubisoft, "Far Cry 6," players could use powerful weapons and vehicles.
Players could also forge connections to build a network of allies to strengthen his crew. Interestingly, "Far Cry 6" players could also use Fans for Hire, such as Chorizo, a wiener dog to achieve his purpose. Apart from the cinematic story trailer, the gaming studio also released a fresh cinematic title sequence trailer that offers details about the game.
"Far Cry 6" Pre-order Details
The sixth installment to the famous "Far Cry" series is now available for pre-order. Gamers who purchased "Far Cry 6" on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One would be able to upgrade the game to PS% and Xbox Series X version at no additional cost. Those who pre-order the title will also be able to unlock the Libertad pack.
This pack comes with Libertad outfit for Chorizo and the Discos Locos, a weaponized disc launcher. "Far Cry 6" is available is Gold Edition, which comes with a season pass. Gamers can also purchase the game's Ultimate Edition, which comes with whatever there is in Gold Edition plus the ultimate pack. It includes the Croc Hunter pack, Vice pack, and Jungle Expedition Pack.
Meanwhile, the "Far Cry 6" Collector's Edition comes with the contents of the ultimate pack, a Tostador replica, an in-game flamethrower, a season pass, exclusive steelbook, art book, 10 stickers, Chorizo key ring, a soundtrack, map, a one-pager artwork by Tobatron, and more. "Far Cry 6" arrives on Feb 18, 2021.
