Cody Simpson has been accused of cheating on Miley Cyrus. A tabloid published a story along with some photos of Simpson hanging out with a woman that was not his girlfriend.
According to Woman's Day, Cody was spotted sharing lunch with a woman and implied that the Australian singer/model is cheating on Cyrus. The tabloid called the woman an "old flame" of Simpson. In the photo the outlet posted, the two seemed to share a hug.
Woman's Day, also, brought up another instance wherein Cody was allegedly spotted on a date with another woman. The tabloid claimed the woman even clutched the face of Cody while he wore a helmet.
The outlet assumed that it suggest the two were not just friends, based on how they acted towards each other. A source of the tabloid also implied that Cyrus was okay with her boyfriend hanging out with another woman.
Gossip Cop debunked the story for several reasons. Firstly, the publication pointed out Woman's Day used some photographs of Simpson that were taken years ago. Miley Cyrus and Cody Simpson have been close friends for years but they only started dating in October 2019.
Gossip Cop noted that, if the photos were new, Cody and the women in both pictures should be wearing mask. Those individuals in the questionable photos were not seen wearing a face mask, which is a necessity at the moment because of the coronavirus pandemic.
The outlet added it wasn't clear if the two women that Woman Day accused Cody of cheating with were the same person. It, also, noted that the tabloid shouldn't claim that they were Simpson's "old flame" if it can't identify her.
Simpson has had several famous exes. Some of his known ex-girlfriends were Kylie Jenner, Gigi Hadid, actress Sierra Swartz, and Lindsay Lohan's sister, Aliana Lohan.
It wasn't clear if either of them was in the photos in question. It is, also, possible that the woman that Cody was spotted hanging out was a friend or even a family member.
Cyrus revealed her romance with Simpson in October, two months after her split from ex-husband Liam Hemsworth. Since then, many were waiting for the couple to announce that they have decided to part ways.
So far, Miley and Cody's relationship seems to be getting stronger despite expectations that their affair would be short lived. The couple has been spending a lot of time together. Simpson, also, recently, shared a sweet message about Cyrus, saying that he is very much in love with his best friend.
