Wonder Woman 1984 might be delayed yet again but that hasn't stopped Warner Bros. from hyping up the highly anticipated DC Extended Universe sequel. In addition to that main trailer that was dropped during DC FanDome back in August, the studio has released alternate teasers available in other countries.

One of the notable trailers is the one released in Japan that actually features some cool new footage of Gal Gadot in action. Amazingly, the teaser confirms that the wings on Diana Prince's new Golden Eagle armor are fully functional and can be used for flying and combat.

The Wonder Woman 1984 trailer already shows most of the footage that has appeared in the main trailer like the initial confrontation between Diana Prince and Barbara Minerva in what appears to be a museum. However, the Japanese teaser features more of the Amazonian competition that young Diana participates in during her time in Themyscira.

In addition to that, there is an awesome scene showing Diana in her golden suit with the wings outstretched as she flies through the air and swoops in on a few bad guys. She later discards the wings to prepare for hand-to-hand combat.

The Golden Armor is undoubtedly one of the most anticipated things about Wonder Woman 1984. The armor was first shown in the comic books and was specially designed by the Amazon Pallas for invulnerability. In the comics, Diana Prince has worn the armor when she needed to go up against a powerful opponent like Devastation in the New Earth storyline. With that in mind, the golden armor's appearance in the film confirms that Diana believes she is going up against someone truly powerful.

Interestingly, the trailers have only shown Diana Prince wearing the Golden Eagle armor while going up against Cheetah. This has led to speculations that Barbara Minerva could be more powerful than initially expected and might be the one opponent who could hurt Gal Gadot's character. On the other hand, some believe that there is another villain who will show up in Wonder Woman 1984 who could force Diana to wear the armor to avoid being defeated.

Wonder Woman 1984 is directed by Patty Jenkins and will bring back Gal Gadot as Diana Prince as well as Chris Pine as Steve Trevor. They will be joined by new cast members Kristen Wiig who will portray Barbara Minerva aka Cheetah and Pedro Pascal who has been cast as Maxwell Lord. The film is currently scheduled for release on December 25.
