Nevertheless, it has been an amazing journey following Mando and Baby Yoda as well as their new and old friends in the past month. But, what could happen in the season finale of the Star Wars series? There are good chances fans can look forward to an epic battle as Mando fights to get Grogu back from Moff Gideon.
The Mandalorian Season 2 has been all about Mando trying to track down Baby Yoda's people and somehow meeting important characters in the Star Wars Universe. After all, the second season brought in Cobb Vanth from the Aftermath novels and gave Bo-Katan Kryze and Ahsoka Tano their live-action debuts. In addition to that, Boba Fett was confirmed to be still alive and is now helping Mando ensure Baby Yoda's safety.
So what could happen in The Mandalorian Season 2 Episode 8? Let's look back at what happened in the past seven episodes. Mando and Baby Yoda's journey finally brought them to meet other Mandalorians led by Bo-Katan Kryze, who told him where to find a Jedi named Ahsoka Tano. The meeting with Ahsoka helped Mando learn more about Baby Yoda, discovering that his real name is Grogu, and being sent to a Jedi Temple on Tython.
The trip to the Jedi Temple appeared to be somehow helpful both for Baby Yoda and Mando. As Grogu meditated, he may have reconnected with the Force. Meanwhile, Mando finally met Boba Fett and found out that Fennec Shand was still alive. Although they found new allies, Mando also ended up losing Baby Yoda as The Child was kidnapped by Moff Gideon's Dark Troopers.
The latest episode of The Mandalorian Season 2 saw Mando desperately trying to track down Moff Gideon's location to the point of getting Mayfeld out of prison. But now that he has the coordinates to Gideon's hideout, Mando made it clear that he will stop at nothing to get Baby Yoda back. Interestingly, it looks like The Mandalorian Season 2 Episode 8 could feature a Star Wars location that has never appeared in live action before.
Star Wars Theory has checked on the location and surmises that Moff Gideon might be hiding on Nar Shaddaa, the notorious "Smuggler's Moon" that serves as home for the Huttese criminal underworld. With that in mind, there will be more dangerous things to watch out for other than Gideon's men.
The Mandalorian Season 2 Episode 8 is the final episode of the season. It will air on Disney+ on December 18.
