The ongoing feud between Prince Harry and Prince William shows no signs of improvement. According to a recent report, money that was inherited from the Queen Mother, who passed away in 2002, has now become a cause of tension.
On September 15, when Prince Harry reaches the age of 40, he is expected to receive an amount close to $9 million from his great-grandmother. This amount surpasses the sum his older brother received on his own 40th birthday two years ago.
“Somehow, the idea of [Prince] Harry walking away with so much money seems wrong to [Prince] William. In [Prince] William’s opinion, [Prince] Harry’s done nothing to deserve it and he’s caused nothing but trouble and heartbreak for the royal family since he moved to America,” an unnamed source told Star Magazine.
Currently, Prince William, who generated a total income of $30 million in the previous year, is experiencing financial constraints. Since Prince Harry and his wife, Meghan Markle, moved to California with their two young children, he has consistently felt betrayed as the secondary member of the royal family, due to criticisms of the monarchy and specifically Prince William.
“[Prince] William carries a grudge for every slight and insult,” the anonymous insider told the entertainment news outlet.
Meanwhile, The New York Post reported that Prince William and Princess Kate are “disgusted” over the $8.5 million inheritance Prince Harry is set to receive in just a few weeks.
On September 15, the Duke of Sussex, who is about to reach the age of 40, is expected to receive a substantial sum of money as he enters his fourth decade, thanks to arrangements made by his deceased great-grandmother, Queen Elizabeth, the Queen Mother.
Queen Elizabeth II's deceased mother allocated $90 million to a trust fund for her family, specifying that Harry would be able to receive his portion of the fund when he reached the age of 40, as stated in the fund's conditions. Nevertheless, insiders in close proximity to the Prince and Princess of Wales disclosed to Closer UK that they believe the Duke of Sussex is unworthy of the financial resources.
“William’s pretty disgusted that once again Harry’s going to be cashing out and taking millions back to his Montecito home without lifting a finger for it. There’s nothing he can do about it, aside from shaking his head, but if it were up to him, Harry would not be getting this payday. William doesn’t think his brother is in any position to be getting this handout and he’s letting it be known that he thinks it’s a pretty rotten situation,” the tipster stated.
“[Prince William believes Prince Harry is] being rewarded after the terrible treatment he’s shown them all. William and Kate don’t trust Harry or Meghan one bit, so the idea that Harry’s now cashing in on his great-granny’s inheritance leaves a very bitter taste in their mouths,” the mole went on.
