Prince Harry's struggle with boredom is causing significant issues as the Duke and Meghan Markle find it challenging to occupy their time, a new report claimed.
Ever since the couple bid farewell to their Royal responsibilities in 2020 to start a new life in the United States, there are numerous things that Prince Harry deeply longs for. According to a prominent analyst, the 39-year-old individual is already experiencing a sense of ennui in his current existence, as he lacks the presence of his loved ones to assist him in broadening his social network.
According to Tom Quinn, there have been clear indications for a considerable period of time. "[Prince] Harry is increasingly bored and looking back across the Atlantic where most of his army and school friends still live and whom he never sees because they won't visit him in the States because they find Meghan difficult," the royal expert told The Mirror.
"They are finding it difficult to get through the days and weeks of not having much to do. Meghan is hugely driven. But she can hardly blame him for not being a commercial whiz-kid as he has only ever been trained to be a royal. Harry doesn’t really have very much to do on a day-to-day basis,” he went on.
"After he’s taken the dog for a walk and maybe gone for a drive, he has nothing to do other than support Meghan. Meghan on the other hand needs someone who has serious determination to succeed in the world. This has led to huge tensions,” Tom added.
Meghan has been exceptionally occupied in recent months, as she has been developing her own lifestyle brand, American Riviera Orchard, and working on her next Netflix series, which will highlight her culinary expertise.
Prince Harry has also been actively promoting the Invictus Games, as well as working on other projects such as his own documentary series. This busy schedule may have made it more difficult for him to stay in touch with his friends. However, rumors indicate that he still longs for the United Kingdom.
The geographical distance of around 5,500 miles between the Sussexes' current residence at Frogmore Cottage and their former home in the UK may possibly be a significant factor contributing to the strain in their friendships. In 2020, the pair relocated from the Windsor property in Berkshire to Montecito, California, opting for the sunny hills of Montecito over the lush greenery of Berkshire.
Although it seems that several of Prince Harry's friendships did not endure the relocation to the United States, some relationships remain robust. This encompasses the Duke's enduring friendship with Nacho Figueras, who is widely regarded as the most renowned polo player globally. However, former royal reporter Jennie Bond believes that Prince Harry probably believes that the personal sacrifices are outweighed by the joy of his new life.
"I think we can say that it must be tough for Harry to have lost touch with virtually all his old circle of friends as well as his family. But we must assume that he feels that sacrifice is worth it for the life he now has with the woman he loves and the children he adores,” Jennie told OK! Magazine.
