For the first time in three years, Prince William and King Charles surprised Prince Harry by wishing him a happy birthday. This was despite the fact that they had been engaged in a protracted family quarrel.
On Sunday, September 15, the official social media accounts of the Royal Family, which are managed by the office of King Charles at Buckingham Palace, paid a heartfelt tribute to Prince Harry, who turned 40 years old.
" Wishing The Duke of Sussex a very happy 40th birthday today!,” the caption read alongside a photo of Harry smiling.
The account belonging to Prince William and Kate Middleton posted on their respective Instagram Stories at the same time. "Wishing a Happy 40th Birthday to the Duke of Sussex,” it read.
As a result of the fact that Prince Harry and his family have not been on good terms ever since the publication of his autobiography "Spare" in January 2023, royal observers were equally as surprised to see the family reaching out to him.
"Wow haven't seen him on here in forever!! Could there be a reconciliation coming?" one netizen said. "There hasn’t been a post like this in years towards Harry. So nice to see!" another person shared. "Classier move than he deserves,” a third X user added.
It was earlier stated that Prince Harry is going to enjoy his special day with his family, which will include his wife, Meghan Markle, as well as their two children, Lilibet and Archie.
“Harry will be in exile for his 40th birthday. It'll probably be a low-key celebration inside the gates of their home with celebrity friends. I don't think he's happy," Princess Diana's former butler Paul Burrell told Closer Magazine.
“The saddest thing is that he could have had it all. But while the children are small, there's no way things will change for Harry because he adores his wife, and his family and that is the path he's on,” he continued.
Paul believes that Prince Harry is experiencing "homesickness" because he is still separated from his family. "I'm sure his upcoming 40th birthday is making him reflect on the past and his previous life. If Harry doesn't have regrets, he doesn't have a soul," Paul stated.
An unnamed source claimed that the father of two would hold a conversation with his loved ones in the midst of their disagreement.
“Harry will hear from his family. It’s very likely that Charles and Kate will likely phone Harry to wish him well on his birthday,” the anonymous insider told The New York Post.
