Meghan Markle possesses a "weapon in her back pocket" that she might employ to exact "revenge" against the Royal Family, a new report claimed.
She and Prince Harry have been public about their troubles inside The Firm, highlighted by their explosive interview with Oprah Winfrey and a revealing Netflix series. More than four years since they stood down as senior Royals.
Subsequently, Prince Harry published his tell-all book, "Spare," in the previous year. This book shed light on difficulties that existed inside the Royal Institution, particularly with King Charles and Prince William. As a result of Netflix's revelations, Meghan has remained silent about any additional information surrounding the Royal Family.
Rumors that Meghan is writing her personal memoir have been sparked by hints dropped in an interview two years ago. In that interview, Meghan referenced keeping a diary when she was serving as a member of the Royal Family.
Jennie Bond, a veteran and former correspondent for the BBC Royal, stated that such a journal gives the impression that an exposé might be "in her back pocket."
"It's more than two years since she gave that interview, and she has steered clear of controversy about the Royal Family since," Jennie outlined.
If she ever feels the need to exact any form of vengeance, it is evident that the journal she referenced will continue to be a potential weapon in her back pocket. Express UK claimed that ever since Oprah and the documentary series, she has acted in a manner that is both respectful and discreet.
"I think she is looking forwards, not backwards and is moving on with her life. So I don't think we should be raising false alarms about any potential memoir," Jennie added.
Last year, Meghan opened up to The Cut about her Californian family life post-royal exit and her podcast Archetypes. She revealed that no NDA was required upon her departure from 'the firm' and recounted finding a journal at Frogmore Cottage, saying: "You go back, and you open drawers, and you're like, 'Oh my gosh. This is what I was writing in my journal there."
Following Meghan's disclosures, Sunday Times Royal Editor Roya Nikkhah expressed on True Royalty TV's The Royal Beat that some remarks were quite revealing.
"The thinly veiled threats that came in [Meghan's interview with The Cut] ...I think [she] probably hopes it does [feel threatening] to the Royal Family... [But] I think there's a lot of eye-rolling, going, 'We're used to this by now'... [But] that phrase, 'I have a lot to say until I don't' and, 'I've never signed anything that restricts me from talking'... there was a very strong inference there," Nikkhah observed.
"And, of course, the reminder that she keeps a journal, and [her] revelation that, 'when we came back to Windsor, to Frogmore Cottage for the Jubilee, I rediscovered my journal that I'd left there' - I was astonished to discover that she had left a highly private diary behind in Windsor, rather than taking it back. She's mentioned a couple of times in the last year or two that she kept a journal, and I think there is a very strong inference that Meghan could write her own memoir," she went on.
