A few weeks before the unexpected passing of the late One Direction singer, Liam Payne's doctor allegedly made the decision to withdraw him from treatment as a patient.

According to a letter that was acquired by TMZ on Monday, the mental healthcare specialist warned Payne in September that he required a "higher level of care" than she was able to supply.

It was apparently said in the statement that was submitted to the court in Argentina that the musician's former physician had made the decision to discontinue treating him as a patient "after careful consideration and assessment."

It has been stated that she suggested that Payne continue with his treatment plan, despite the fact that she was no longer providing him with psychiatric therapy.

Per TMZ, she advised the singer to take medications "only as prescribed" and avoid "heavy drinking" while on medication.

It was also recommended that Payne, who passed away on October 16th, participate in weekly therapy sessions, schedule appointments with his primary care physician, and undergo "further testing."

It was recommended that the singer of "Teardrops" consult with a therapist on a "regular" basis in order to "process his depression and trauma."

According to reports, Payne's previous psychiatrist advised him that it was "vital" for him to do so in order to effectively manage his mental health treatment.

In addition to that, she gave him a list of rehabilitation centers and medical professionals that may be of assistance to him on his path.

According to TMZ, she signed the letter with the following words: "Thank you for your understanding, and I wish you the very best in your continued journey toward mental health and well-being."

During his stay at the CasaSur Palermo Hotel in Buenos Aires, Argentina, Payne fell from the balcony of his room.

As a result of his fall, the father of one sustained fatal injuries which included a fracture to his skull. ABC News was able to secure a toxicology report, which proved that Payne had numerous substances in his system at the time of his death.

Five individuals have been charged with a crime in connection with the death of Payne, which occurred at the hotel in South America.

Gilda Martin, the manager of the hotel, Esteban Grassi, the receptionist who made the call to 911 before the recording artist passed away, and Rogelio "Roger" Nores, the companion of the singer, have all been charged with manslaughter, according to Page Six.

Braian Paiz and Ezequiel Pereyra, both of whom are employed by the hotel, have been accused with giving narcotics to Payne, who was aware that he was struggling with addiction.

On November 20th, Payne was put to rest in the United Kingdom. Former bandmates Harry Styles, Zayn Malik, Niall Horan, and Louis Tomlinson were among those who came to pay their respects before his funeral. Additionally there was Payne's girlfriend, Kate Cassidy, who was also present.
