Google has not confirmed its rumored Pixel 3 Lite phone, but it is said that it's going to be less powerful than the other flagship phones by the tech giant. The company has yet to announce its newest smartphone device, but recent leaks suggested that it will be packed with an advanced camera features, similar to that of the Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL.
According to Tech Radar, photos were posted at the Russian site Rozetked that are said to be taken from Google Pixel 3 Lite, claiming that the camera carries a 12MP on the rear. This is impressive enough knowing that its features are not as much of the company's flagship phones.
For a less powerful handset, it wouldn't be a surprise that it will be cheaper than the other smartphones as soon as it hits the marketplace, which will be appealing to consumers, especially if its camera is packed with a 12MP with Dual-LED flash, Auto-HDR, and panorama features. Its front or selfie camera has a single 8MP with Auto-HDR.
However, with an incredible 12MP camera, many users worry that there might be a lot of features in Google Pixel 3 Lite that will be compromised. For instance, it is said that the device will come with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 670 chipset, which is less formidable than the 845 chipset that packed the Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL.
The camera itself might be the same as the other two devices, but with a mid-range chipset and image signal processor or ISP, the camera's software abilities might also be reduced. What's great about the Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL cameras is that Google used software algorithms on them for enhancing images neatly.
Google also added features on them, including portrait and night sight of which the performance depends on the powerful Snapdragon chipset used on the Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL. With a mid-range chipset in Pixel 3 Lite, it is more likely that it will not meet the same advanced camera features on its forerunners.
The Pixel 3 Lite has a 5.56-inch display, and will also support Bluetooth 5.0, with GPS, Wi-Fi and LTE support. It packs a non-removable Li-Po battery, and there is no card slot, but it offers 32 GB with a 4 GB RAM, which received poor reactions from users.
Nonetheless, everything is just a rumor, and Google has yet to confirm any of these, or if the Pixel 3 Lite is indeed in development.
