Valentine's Day is the day where love is celebrated. This is the season where most of the people can be seen happy with their other half, friends and families, which makes it one of the most memorable celebration every year. Everyone might be full of joy this special day, except for one.

February 11, around 2:10 pm KST, the love story of a couple whose names are Park and Cho has tragically ended because of a fatal car accident that could have been prevented if not because of recklessness.

That was when an 18-year-old driver Jeon ran over the couple while they had their first date in one of the paves of Daejeon, South Korea.

Authorities claim that before the incident the teen driver hasn't received his licensed in driving yet, and the vehicle he used was only borrowed from someone he knows.

The tragic accident left the lovers in a very critical condition, which lead to Park's death a few moments after. Park's 29-year-old boyfriend, on the other hand, is presently in the hospital enduring the bruises and wounds he got from the accident.

Korean authorities further reveal that there is no alcohol consumption involved in the tragic event. According to them, the accident happened purely out of Jeon's recklessness since he is still not an authorized person to drive.

The teen driver and his friend, who was seated in the back seat, are now in a stable condition but are still under treatment and observation.

As people learn more about the couple's love story, many were broken-hearted, especially that the Cho's beautiful loved one was killed during one of their most precious days as reported by All Kpop.

Many have witnessed how sweet their love story is, which has started a few years ago while the couple was traveling to Europe. The couple's relationship has just been made official, which was only cut short by this tragic accident.

Park was a school teacher working in Seoul, while his boyfriend was working in Changwon as an office worker. Since Daejeon was the most convenient location for the couple, the couple decided to meet there for their first date.

What happened to Park and Cho is only an example of how rampant road accident is in South Korea. As reported by World Life Expectancy, the country's estimated total death because of a road traffic accident was about 6,040 just in 2017 alone.

Meanwhile, the investigation of the accident is still in process. Police officers promised to shed light on what has happened to the accident especially with regards to Jeon's reckless driving the soonest.
