Who wouldn't love Walt Disney? From its inspiring animated movies, relatable characters and also beautiful animation, no wonder why people from different ages are so into the stories of Queen Elsa of Frozen, Winnie the Pooh, Dumbo, and Simba of Lion King.
But amid all these reasons, there is but one more thing that will make people love Disney more-its amusement park is now considered as "the most vegan-friendly amusement park in America" by People For Ethical Treatment of Animals also known as PETA.
Rachelle Owen, PETA's Director of student campaigns and influence Rachelle Owen announced their decision in a statement they've released February 4 referring the park as "the 'Happiest Place on Earth' for young vegans."
Unlike other amusement parks, Disneyland only offers vegetarian foods on their menu. These delicacies include BBQ jackfruit, vegan gumbo, vegan sorbet, and other good stuff too, as reported by Delish.
With these mouth-watering delicious yet healthy foods available inside the amusement park, Disney assures people not just to have the best days of their life, but they will also to have a healthier physique and lifestyle as well.
Vegans are starting to notice how good these Disneyland foods are. One of them is the Just Add Magic teen actress Aubrey Miller.
Miller and her lifestyle as a vegan were revealed in a video posted on YouTube, which is used as a guide for PETA. It features her vegan-journey in the park and also one of Disney's best sellers-the Vegan Egg-Free Mickey-shaped waffles, which eventually became one of the teen's most favorite foods.
More people nowadays are already shifting to a vegetarian lifestyle because of several reasons. One of the main reasons is their love for life. They believe that every meat they eat is equivalent to a life tortured all for the sake of food. On the other hand, some people's reason for altering their lifestyle is the betterment of their health.
Because of the high demand for vegan products and foods, a lot of food companies, even the huge ones, are already creating vegan-alternatives of their products. These companies include Panera Bread with their new vegan soup, Magnum Ice Cream with their vegan ice cream bars, and Halo Top Creamery with their vegan flavored ice creams.
Being vegan can actually give a lot of benefits. Experts say that since vegan diets are high in vitamins and minerals such as magnesium, folic acid, iron, and Vitamins C, B1 and E, adopting this kind of diet can prevent people from diseases such as strokes, obesity, cancer, cardiovascular diseases, and diabetes.
