OnePlus was noticeably silent in terms of making announcements at the Mobile World Congress 2019 in Barcelona, Spain. However, people have noticed that the smartphone manufacturer made a presence as a 5G prototype handset that would be later revealed as the OnePlus 7.

In an article published by TechRadar, it was OnePlus CEO Pete Lau who revealed to some media outlet that the 5G prototype handset seen at the Mobile World Congress 2019 is called OnePlus 7. With this revelation, what are the other details about the phone?

OnePlus 7 is said to run a Snapdragon 855 chipset and X50 modem. The X50 modem is said to be the key that would be providing the 5G connectivity to the users.

Moreover, the OnePlus 7, based on the 5G phone prototype, doesn't show any of the handset's body. One thing is for sure though and that is the fact that it has a tall screen.

There is no official data about the OnePlus 7 specs but according to the people who saw the phone, it has a 21:9 aspect ratio display. This aspect ratio was already seen on the new Sony Xperia 1 and this can provide a great display for watching movies.

The OnePlus 7 doesn't also appear to be a notch. This could mean that users can enjoy an uninterrupted view.

Still, viewers were not sure the position of the bezels in the OnePlus 7 design. The OnePlus 6 and 6T were noticeably having reduced bezel size with a slender below the display.

With the mystery surrounding the position of the front-facing camera on the OnePlus 7, some are speculating that it will have a mechanically raising snapper like the Find X phone from Oppo. The phone could also have a slide down to reveal a camera like the Xiaomi Mi Mix 3.

For those who are avid mobile gamers, OnePlus 7 might be a good smartphone for them. The testers of the phone tried to play Ace Combat 7 by using a wireless Xbox controller and the quality was described as "impressive".

"[OnePlus 7] is a game changer. It can change everything from gaming to communication, to health and beyond. More than that, it can perform several, or all, of these at the same time," according to Lau as quoted by T3.

The OnePlus 7 is reported to cost as much as £1,000. This would be equivalent to $1,314 for interested US-based buyers.

The OnePlus 7 was revealed at the MWC 2019, which is the largest convention of mobile phones around the world. The MWC showcases new phones, tablets, wearable, and alike.
