Coring on the timeline leaks and rumors have been telling us since the news broke out, BGR confirmed that alongside the OnePlus 7 Pro, the company is also slated to unveil the standard version of the OnePlus 7 and the OnePlus 7 Pro 5G. The latter will be OnePlus' first 5G capable Smartphone in the market and should tug the likes of Samsung to share a piece of the spotlight.
As previously reported, the base model of the OnePlus 7 will look a lot like its predecessor, the OnePlus 6T. The OnePlus 7, however, will carry the most of the specs found on the OnePlus 7 Pro, albeit the "all-screen design" and triple rear-camera setup. BGR added that the OnePlus 7 Pro 5G would incorporate the OnePlus 4G Pro's aesthetics plus a few extra digits on its price tag.
Forbes meanwhile confirmed the news regarding the OnePlus 7 Pro by posting several cases made by Olixar for the new Smartphone. Ewan Spence said that through cut-outs, cases and renders of the device "back up previous unconfirmed changes" on the OnePlus 7 Pro, including the triple-lens camera and the pop-up front-facing snapper.
The reported leak also pointed to a new OnePlus 7 Pro revelation. BGR echoed Agarwal's claim that the upcoming handset will feature a QHD+ display panel with a "90Hz refresh rate." The website added that this feature is typically reserved for gaming-centric Android phones. Moreover, the OnePlus 7 Pro will sport USB 3.1 connectivity and a 4,000mAh battery that will support the company's "Warp Charge =."
With that said, there's a big chance that Smartphone users will have to give the OnePlus 7 Pro a second look this May. There's no official word on its pricing, but OnePlus Founder and CEO Pete Lau "is trying" to keep their first 5G Smartphone to under $1,000.
