The hottest rumor in the NBA world today is that Kyrie Irving, DeAndre Jordan, and Kevin Durant could end up teaming up on Brooklyn Nets. There are several reports recently claiming that Irving and Durant have met twice in the past weeks to discuss their upcoming plans. Rumors have it that Irving is trying to convince Durant to sign up with Brooklyn Nets while the team is exploring the possibility of getting DeAndre Jordan to further convince Durant.
All year round there have been several discussions concerning Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving planning to team up in the free agency. It is no longer a surprise that the NBA stars are reported having conversations in recent weeks. According to the Bleacher Report, the NBA stars have met twice already to sit down and discuss the likelihood of playing and working together under one team.
The first meeting, according to the report, happened in Oakland when Kevin Durant was nursing his injury. The second meeting occurred in New York just right after the Golden State Warriors player underwent surgery to fix his torn Achilles. Kyrie Irving and Kevin Durant are close, and the possibility of them working under one team is highly to happen. Both Irvin and Durant will be free agents in this NBA offseason.
Meanwhile, Mark Stein claims that while Kyrie Irving is already expected to sign with Brooklyn Nets, he will allegedly bring with him, Kevin Durant. Additionally, to make the deal more enticing, the team is reportedly courting Deandre Jordan. Durant and Jordan are close friends, and even partied together in Greece after they won a gold medal at the 2016 Olympics held in Brazil.
Deandre Jordan signed a one-year $23 million contract with Mavericks last summer and is going to be a free agent on Sunday. In January, he was traded to New York Knicks, which cleared the needed salary cap space for the Knicks to sign two NBA stars to maximize the contracts in free agency. Jordan averages 10.9 points, three assists, 11.4 rebounds, and 1.1 blocks in all his 19 games in Knicks. Will the Brooklyn Nets plan of making a deal with Kevin Durant more interesting by getting Deandre Jordan to work?
There were several claims that Kevin Durant is leaving the Golden State Warriors presumably because he was pressured to play despite his injury, which resulted in a calf injury. These are all rumors, and like all rumors, always take this kind of news with a pinch of salt.
