The Pocophone F1 entered the market as a real flagship killer, packed with specs similar to flagship phones but at an unbelievably lower price. It catered to the mid-range sector of the market which warmly embraced it. It was a hit, and right now, consumers are wondering if the Chinese phone maker is going to release its successor, which many calls the Pocophone F2.

With no reports or announcement from Xiaomi about the arrival of Pocophone F2, many start to speculate that the device will no longer be released. Xiaomi introduced another mid-range flagship killer recently sporting next generation specs at very affordable prices. The arrival of Redmi K20 and Redmi K20 Pro further adds clouds of doubt on the arrival of the successor of Pocophone F1.

There were reports claiming that the Redmi K20 and the Redmi K20 Pro are the replacements of the Pocophone F2. However, a recent move from the Chinese phone makers revived and fueled speculations that the much-awaited mid-range smartphone might be nearing its launch. The speculations came from the recent price slash of the Pocophone F2 device.

From its original price of around $300 in August 2018, the Pocophone F1 is now being offered at $260. Many believe that the price slash is an indication that the Pocophone F2 is nearing its announcement and eventually its release. But, it is worth noting that only the 64 GB variant of the smartphone is on sale right now. Its other variants, which are the 256 GB and the 128 GB, still maintain their original selling prices.

Xiaomi and Redmi have been very silent about the Pocophone F2, and so far the executive has not released any information related to the highly anticipated device. When the Redmi K20 and Redmi K20 Pro were launched, there were reports that claim that these devices will be released with different international names. According to the reports, the Redmi K20 pro will be named as the Pocophone F2 and will be released in countries outside of China like India.

But, until now, no unit with that name was released in any country. The recent Pocophone F1 sale could mean other things. It could be the company's marketing strategy to move the inventory of the device given its series of new smartphone releases. While anybody can speculate about the arrival of the Pocophone F2, we will only know if the highly anticipated device is coming when the executive already confirmed its existence.
