Fresh from the wake of the mistake that was the Galaxy Fold, South Korean tech giant Samsung is betting big on its upcoming flagship smartphone model: the Galaxy Note 10. Samsung has kept the phone a secret, but a handful of leaks have given the tech community a glimpse of what to expect. The recent leak revealed that Samsung is making a massive design shift to it's the Galaxy Note 10.
The reveal came from TechTalkTV. Based on these leaked images, it would appear that the Galaxy Note 10 has a significant design overhaul. While this is not an entirely new strategy for phone companies to redesign their flagship product, this is a huge deal from Samsung which is still reeling from the backlash brought about by the Galaxy Fold.
It was recently confirmed by a number of tech insiders that the 'Pro' model will be dropped for this iteration of the Galaxy lineup. This means that there will be no Galaxy Note 10 Pro model to hit the market. Instead, Samsung is rebranding it as the Galaxy Note 10+.
Based on a handful of leaked images, the Note 10+ will sport a thicker bottom, probably to house additional upgraded hardware or to make room for a larger battery. This design shift means that the phone will feature asymmetrical bezels.
The Note 10+ will also sport a single front-facing camera situated right on the top-center part of the phone. Based on the images, it looks simple yet more stylish compared to other camera configurations. This might be a positive note in terms of aesthetics, but it remains to be known what the tradeoffs of this particular style are.
Unfortunately, the leaked images only reveal the front and back side of the Galaxy Note 10+. This means that it is still unconfirmed whether the phone will feature a headphone jack or whether the microSD slot is still incorporated in the design. It is important to note here that rumors have it that Samsung is seriously considering to drop these two features. Something that did not sit well with a number of fans and critics.
As for its targeted market, The Samsung Galaxy Note+ is obviously targeted towards the top of the market, going head-to-head with the likes of Apple iPhones. Considering its price tag, the phone is considered quite expensive for its specs by many in the community. Nevertheless, there are still dedicated Samsung fans out there that are excited to get their hands into the company's newest flagship smartphone.
