A new leaked image that allegedly belongs to the heavily rumored Nintendo Switch 2 surfaced online recently. Many tech analysts believed that this is a strong indication that there is indeed a Nintendo Switch Mini that is currently in the works. If the previous statement of the Japanese gaming console giant Nintendo is to be believed, then gamers will soon have a new variant that they can bring with them and play their favorite games, whenever they want.

Just recently, WinFuture reported about leaked images from the official accessory maker of the Nintendo Switch Bigben. The leaked image is a silicon case reportedly intended for the Nintendo Switch Mini or Nintendo Mini Switch 2. One of the images reveals the official product image of the accessory while the other is a rendered image of how the case should look like with the upcoming variant of the hybrid console.

Noticeably, the image shows that the Joy Con controllers appeared to be locked into the body and seems to be a part of the body of the gaming console. This supports previous speculations about the Nintendo Switch 2 or the Nintendo Mini Switch 2. Additionally, the case appears to be the smaller version of the current model of the Nintendo Switch, which again supports the previous rumor that one of the devices will be a smaller version of the original hybrid console.

It can be recalled that there was a leaked image several days ago showing the Nintendo Switch Mini with thumbsticks that level with one another. In this leaked image, it shows that the toggle buttons stay in the same place as they were on the Nintendo Switch. This only means three things, either the previous leak was fake, or this one is, or Nintendo is developing two new variants.

The third possibility is highly aligned with previous reports that the Japanese gaming console titan is developing two new models of the hybrid console. The report originated from the Wall Street Journal, which mentioned that the company is currently working on two new models somewhere in Southeast Asia. The report was discussing the effect of the US-China trade to the game manufacturers.

Sony was silent during the first few weeks after the report hit the Internet. However, during its most recent shareholder's meeting, the company released a cryptic statement which many assumed to be a confirmation of what is circulating only. According to the company, they will not comment about the rumors to be fair with their stockholders and to not spoil the surprise they have in store for the gamers.
