Samsung was the first tech company to announce that it is going to release a device with a revolutionary design, that is, the Samsung Galaxy Fold. Allegedly, because of durability and design issues, the South Korean tech giant has until not yet released or given additional information on the release window of the much-awaited device. A new report, however, surfaced recently claiming that the upcoming device with a revolutionary design has already passed the durability test.

If the durability test is any indication of an imminent release of Samsung Galaxy Fold, then fans that have been itching to see the actual device will soon get their hands on it. It appears that Samsung has already resolved the issues with the design for its first-ever foldable smartphone. Could this be a sign that the company's next move would be the announcement of the release date of the foldable device?

For several months, Samsung has been silent on the release window of the Samsung Galaxy Fold. It appears that this time, they would like to make sure that their first-ever foldable smartphone will no longer suffer from any design flaws. And, it seems that all their efforts really paid off this time given the most recent score the upcoming product recently earned from a durability test.

According to The Elec, the South Korean tech giant might want to test the new Samsung Galaxy Fold before revealing it once again to the public. So, they sent several units to different industry groups, competent professors, and its very own KAIST research facility to see if the same problems in the device's earlier design are still there. Samsung Galaxy Fold reportedly passed the durability tests with high scores.

It is possible that Samsung made several tweaking on the design of Samsung Galaxy Fold. Earlier rumors suggested that it has expanded the protective film to provide protection around the screen of the foldable device so users will find a hard time removing it. Other reports claimed that Samsung redesigned the device's hinge and moved it upward.

Interestingly, Samsung could have gone the extra mile and has allowed field testing for the all-new Samsung Galaxy Fold based on the reports that a user in India was seen using the upcoming foldable device. The latest report is a good sign that the device is progressing in terms of design development.

It is also an indication that Samsung Galaxy Fold is nearing its launch or at least announcement of its release date. Samsung is preparing for the launch of Samsung Galaxy Note 10 on August 7, 2019. Most likely, we will hear more about the foldable smartphone after that.
