The success and warm reception of the market to Xiaomi's Pocophone F1 led many to believe that the Chinese smartphone maker will release the second iteration, which could be called Pocophone F2. However, when Xiaomi released the Redmi K20 and Redmi K20 Pro, many thought that the new devices are the substitute for the POCO F2. But, if the latest leaks are to be believed, it appears that the highly-anticipated smartphone is coming soon.
Geekbench Scores
The ever-reliable leaker Xiaomishka on Twitter shared an image of a Geekbench score showing seven Xiaomi Poco F2 or Pocophone F2 CPUs being tested over various months. The most recent test reveals that the device's CPU is an 8-cores Qualcomm 766 MHz model with a single-core score of 2473 and multi-core score of 8633. Although this is in no way a confirmation that the device is coming, it gives us a hint that Xiaomi might be planning or developing the much-awaited smartphone.
The Geekbench scores reveal that the POCO F2 or Pocophone F2 will run on a 6 GB RAM with Snapdragon 845 processor, this is not the latest SoC available in the market today. If the scores on Geekbench are to be believed, the upcoming POCO F2 will not be that impressive. But, it is also important to note that these models are on their testing phase and many things can still happen.

Leaked Screen Protector
In addition to the Geek Bench tests, another leak surfaced online showing the protective casing of what the leaker claims to be the POCO F2 or the Pocophone F2. The leak was posted on /Leaks site by another reliable leaker SUDHANSHU AMBHORE. The leak appears to be consistent with previous rumors surrounding the upcoming device.

Some tech sites call this design the Infinity-U while others label it as the dewdrop type notch design. The current POCO F1 is already using a notch design and if this leak is accurate, this might not go well with expectant POCO F2 fans since they are expecting an enhanced and upgraded design from the second iteration. Another reliable leaker shared that the upcoming Pocophone F2 will have an AMOLED display.
These leaks are not official, and their sources are never disclosed. But, we now know that it is coming as confirmed by Xiaomi India head of marketing Anuj Sharma. While we wait for the official announcement from Xiaomi, it is best to take these leaks about the Pocophone F2 or the POCO F2 with a pinch of salt.
