"The Elder Scrolls 6" is one of the highly anticipated titles from Bethesda. Bethesda Studio's Todd Howard made it very clear that the sixth iteration of the "Elder Scrolls" series will be totally new and unique. Pete Hines, of Bethesda's SVP of Global Marketing and Communications, earlier made a statement about the game's release window and based on this, the earliest date that we could see the game is probably 2025.
If the statement of Pete Hines is to be understood, "The Elder Scrolls 6" fans might see the game's release in 2025 and beyond. Todd Howard also said in his interview that the game studio would really take its time developing the game. He added that they intend to create "The Elder Scrolls 6" a title that fans and gamers can enjoy for a decade or more.
Howard also noted that when fans finally get their hands on "The Elder Scrolls 6", they would understand why the development of the game really took a very long time. Many fans would like to see a "Skyrim" touch to the sixth iteration of "The Elder Scrolls" series since playing the game gives them the feeling that they are not feeling only one game. The release window of "The Elder Scrolls 6" will be also highly dependent on the release date of "Starfield."
Bethesda Studios already made it clear that they are currently deep on their feet, developing its AAA title "Starfield." The sci-fi space exploration title will not be released on the current gaming platforms but on next-generation consoles. PlayStation 5 is anticipated to be officially released in 2020. Xbox' Project Scarlett is also expected to be released in 2020.
This only means that if we based on the release window of next-generation gaming consoles, "Starfield" will be released by 2020 or later. Howard also shared that at present, all of Bethesda Studios are involved in the development of "The Elder Scrolls 6" and of "Starfield." It could mean that the gaming studio is right now putting all its efforts to speed up the production of both games. The safest we could bet for the release date of "The Elder Scrolls 6" is 2025 based on Pete Hines' statement.
As to whether we could hear more news about "The Elder Scrolls 6" Todd Howard said that they will release official details, as well as the gameplay, reveal of the game when it is nearing its official launch.
