The Redmond-based tech giant recently added a new high CPU usage in the long list of known bugs affecting Microsoft Windows 10. This issue affects several IMEs, which includes the Chinese Simplifies and the Chinese Traditional with Changjie/Quick keyboard. Here are the details about the latest bug and the steps to fix it.

It appears that Microsoft has given us a month-long list of bugs affecting the Windows 10. Recently the latest Windows build suffered from bugs affecting the Search, Start Menu, Audio, connectivity issues, and high CPU usage. Now, another bug is identified, and it seems to trigger high CPU usage.

According to Microsoft, the issue was already alleviated and a resolution will be rolled out in the upcoming update. Interestingly, unlike other issues mentioned earlier, this new bug is not only specific to Microsoft Windows10 version 1903 but affects all the versions of the operating system of Microsoft. The bug affects the IME's input method editor, which could become unresponsive or may have high CPU usage. These affected IMEs are the ChsIME.EXE and ChtIME.EXE or the Chinese Simplified and Chinese Traditional respectively with Quick or Changjie keyboard.

The affected platforms include clients Windows 10, version 1607, Windows 10 Enterprise LTSC 2016, Windows 10, version 1703, Windows 10, version 1709, and Windows 10, version 1803. It also affects clients' Windows 10 Enterprise LTSC 2019, Windows 10, version 1809, and Windows 10, version 1903. For the server, it affects Windows Server version 1903, Windows Server version 1809, Windows Server 2019, Windows Server version 1803, Windows Server version 1709, and Windows Server 2016.

Fortunately, Microsoft shared the recommended steps to work around for this another Windows 10 bug. To resolve the issue, users must go to the Start button and key in the word services. Find the Touch Keyboard and Handwriting Panel Service. Double click and choose Properties. After that, look for Startup type and change it to Manual type, then click OK.

So far, the list of Windows 10 bugs has been overwhelming. Microsoft promises that a fix will be rolled out in the future Windows 10 release. Meanwhile, Microsoft is scheduled to have its Surface Event on October 2019. Fans and enthusiasts are anticipating a series of upgraded hardware, software, and accessories to be unveiled during the event.
