Things appear to be getting spooky in "Red Dead Redemption 2" recently. After the release of the Frontier Pursuits update a week ago, players have been reporting of strange encounters with zombies appearing in the Wild West. This led many fans to believe that Rockstar Games intentionally placed these zombies in the game to tease about upcoming zombie content, or Undead Nightmare DLC coming to "Red Dead Redemption 2."
On Reddit, users have been reporting of strange encounters since the Frontier Pursuits update was rolled out. By strange encounters, we mean zombie sightings and encounters. Reddit user named groats_active shared that he spotted a zombie lady in the swamp that looks like the ones in Undead Nightmare. Other Reddit users also claimed that they have spotted similar-looking undead in "Red Dead Redemption 2."
Some "Red Dead Redemption 2" players are claiming to have seen blue-skinned undead which leads others to assume that it is a screwed up implementation associated with the cholera outbreak. But, since the swamp zombie was not blue but upright, and considering that we are nearing the Halloween month give the latest speculation more solid weight. In fact, another player described being lured to the swamp zombie by a dog and then ambushed by the bandits, which suggests that the zombie was intended to be found.
These strange sightings and encounters of the undead in "Red Dead Redemption 2" could be simple in-game glitches. These could also be Easter Eggs, which are normal in Rockstar Games. For the uninitiated, the Undead Nightmare was an expansion pack released for "Red Dead Redemption."
The DLC introduced a horror or zombie-themed single player campaign, a couple of new multiplayer modes, and eerie cosmetics to the environments and characters of the game. The campaign followed the main protagonist John Marston in his attempt to find a cure for the plague that devastated the Wild West. While it is hard to resolve an issue concerning zombie apocalypse, players helped survivors by cleansing the infected locations and killing the undead hordes.

If Rockstar Games is indeed teasing about Undead Nightmare DLC coming to "Red Dead Redemption 2" or to "Red Dead Online" now is a perfect time. It's nearly been a year since Rockstar Games released "Red Dead Redemption 2c and so far has not yet released any DLC to the game. Also, it's just a few weeks until Halloween and a creepy zombie-ish DLC would be an exciting and welcome addition.
