"World War Z" has so far become one of the most successful zombie shooter games released. Because of this, Saber Interactive is now knee-deep developing more content for the game to keep the game interesting and players happy. Recently, the game developer shared the roadmap for the game's second season which includes cross-play support, a new mode, and many more.
Saber Interactive released the last content for the first season post-launch DLC of "World War Z" in August 2019. But the roadmap for the Season 2 is already in place and it looks interesting. Although the specific release dates are not yet revealed, a new set of free updates will start rolling out anytime later this year.
Through this upcoming content, players can anticipate experiencing the Horde Mode, new missions, and even new weapons along with crossplay support. Just like the first set of free downloadable content during the first season of "World War Z" the second season will see extra missions in several game locations. There is also a chance to see a new type of zombie.
Focus Home Interactive, the game publisher of "World War Z", shared more details about the game's season 2 roadmap on Twitter. Apparently, aside from those mentioned earlier, players will get the chance to participate in new missions in Moscow and New York. Prestige Ranks and a wide range of new cosmetics are coming in the game too.
In addition to the free content, the game developer will also roll out paid content in the second season of "World War Z." this includes four new character skins and four new weapons. The post-launch support for the zombie co-op shooter game has remained consistent since the game was released in the early part of 2019.
