Many fans assumed that the event is intended for the unveiling of the next generation action cameras from GoPro, namely the GoPro Hero 8, GoPro Hero 8 Black, & GoPro Hero Max. But, a massive leak surfaced online revealing other features of the upcoming action cameras as well as its retail price.
GoPro Hero 8 Reveal Event
A series of teaser videos have been uploaded on GoPro official website hinting about an upcoming event where the next generation action cameras are anticipated to be revealed. There is also a YouTube video giving details about a live stream event on October 1, which will kick off at 2 PM. While the company traditionally debuts its latest action camera series every month of September, fans believe that the October 1 event will launch the GoPro Hero 8, GoPro Hero 8 Black, & GoPro Hero Max.

The video has the tagline, This is Action and the YouTube streaming event is titled Beyond Next Level. The video gives a glimpse of the rear part of the GoPro Hero 8 while the earlier video showed the front part of the next generation action camera. But, enthusiasts and fans already know these details courtesy of leaked images that surfaced online long before the official teaser videos were uploaded.

German tech site WinFuture has been sharing interesting details about the GoPro Hero 8, GoPro Hero 8 Black, & GoPro Hero Max. In our previous reports, we already shared the camera prowess of the next generation action cameras. This time, we will share about other crucial accessories of the upcoming action cameras.
According to the site, GoPro Hero 8 Black will have a new accessory housing called Media Module. This can be used to attach external devices to the action camera. Additionally, the upcoming action shooter will feature the GoPro Light Mod.
This is a small LED lamp consists of ten LED lights that can be attached to the Media Module hot-shoe compartment. Users who prefer to have two Light Mod docked on their GoPro Hero 8 Black camera can definitely do so. Apparently, the Media Module is not just housing but also comes with a powerful microphone that will ensure that better sound quality is achieved when used for interviews or when vlogging.
The Floaty is also coming back to GoPro Hero 8 Black according to the tech site. For the uninitiated, the Floaty is intended to prevent the action camera from sinking and from the name itself, keep it afloat. The new version comes with an overcoat that also provides better protection against bumps and knocks.
Aside from these, GoPro will offer Folding Fingers as a commercially available accessory. This is some kind of mounting plates that users can use on their GoPro Hero 8, GoPro Hero 8 Black, & GoPro Hero Max.

As for the price, Photo Rumors posted a full list of product images of GoPro Hero 8, GoPro Hero 8 Black, & GoPro Hero Max. Additionally, it shared the leaked price from retailers in Poland placing the retail price of the upcoming action camera at around $475.
