CPU enthusiasts are going to love what is in store for them this month. We know that AMD is going to release its powerful AMD Ryzen 9 Pro 3900X CPU this month. But, according to a new leak, Intel will launch its Intel i9 Cascade Lake-X chips a few days from now.

The latest leak claims that Intel is going to officially launch the Intel i9 Cascade Lake-X chips series of HEDT processors on October 7. The company is believed to drop several major bombs during the launching event, according to Videocardz. Earlier in September, the company did not mince words when it unveiled its 10th generation HEDT Core X processors. It promised to introduce a revolutionary and competition shattering performance per dollar for the entire Intel i9 Cascade Lake-X chips.

Intel will be introducing a new series of Intel i9 Cascade Lake-X chips consists of four SKUs. These are the 18 core, the 14 core, the 12 core, and the 10 core processors. All of these are fully opened for overclocking, enabled for hyperthreading. The new series will also feature the most recent Turbo Core 3.0 technology of Intel.

The latest Intel i9 Cascade Lake-X chip series is still based on the 14nm process and Skylake-X microarchitecture. But, it appears that Intel has taken bold steps to ensure that the 10th generation will considerably become more competitive in the market. The company substantially lowered its per core pricing as compared to the 9th generation Core X series. It also increased the single and all-core turbo clock speeds compared to its predecessors. More importantly, the Intel i9 Cascade Lake-X chips support Intel Performance Maximize, Wi-Fi 6, and 2.5G Intel i225 Ethernet.

The company also increased clock speeds across the entire Intel i9 Cascade Lake-X chip series. As a result, its TDP rise to 165W. The latest series also adds a new boosting feature that targets up to four cores with Turbo Boost 3.0. This is an expansion of the feature that enables the CPU to hit two or more cores with applications that are lightly threaded.

Additionally, the new Intel i9 Cascade Lake-X chip series is equipped with 48 PCIe lanes, which is a boost of four additional lanes as compared to its predecessors. The four extra lanes are exposed from the HCC die to the socket. The latest Intel i9 Cascade Lake-X chip series will officially launch on October 7 and is anticipated to go on sale until the end of November 2019.
