It's been barely a month since the Cupertino-based tech giant released the iPhone 11 lineup. However, as early as now, we already see leaks and predictions about its upcoming flagship device dubbed as the iPhone 12 or iPhone 2020. It is widely anticipated that the upcoming iPhone 2020 will feature 5G connectivity along with several claims that Apple will remove its LCD.

Earlier today, a report surfaced online claiming that all iPhone 2020 variants will feature OLED displays. However, the Cupertino-based tech giant will reportedly limit the 5G connectivity of the iPhone 2020 to its Pro variant. China's UDN News shared details of some of the defining features of the upcoming iPhone 2020.

The iPhone 2020 will undergo another change that will make it more affordable and available to many, according to UDN. The report added that the iPhone 2020 will feature an OLED display, which will, at some point, remove the differentiation between the devices present in the current Apple iPhone lineup. Additionally, the site claimed that Apple will only reserve the 5G connectivity to only a couple of iPhone 2020 variants.

This is, reportedly, the company's way of branding and differentiating its iPhone 2020 Pro variant. This will also ensure that brand-conscious, but budget-conscious consumers can own iPhone 2020 through a more price-friendly option because of the absence of 5G connectivity. Although the recent report mentioned the OLED and 5G features of the iPhone 2020, a previous report mentioned the third feature.

The virtual fingerprint recognition feature was introduced by Android on its smartphones, and Apple surprisingly did not consider introducing the same feature on its iPhones. The report claimed that Apple is now using a strong biometric verification system through Face ID and is not at all pressured to make any more changes. But, several sources, according to wccftech, claimed that the iPhone 2020 will feature both Face ID and on-screen fingerprint recognition.

Meanwhile, Ming-Chi Kuo, the reputable TFI analyst recently shared his predictions on the products that Apple plans to release in 2020. According to Kuo, the iPhone SE 2 and the iPad Pro will arrive in the first quarter of next year. In the second quarter, Apple will launch its AR Glasses, and the company will reportedly tap on third-party vendors for its release.

The iPhone SE 2, according to Ming-Chi Kuo, will run on Apple's A13 mobile platform and will have a strong resemblance to the iPhone 8. The Apple MacBook is also predicted to arrive in the second quarter of 2020.
