The official PlayStation Magazine of the company's UK branch has reportedly leaked the kinds of games that gamers could expect to be released on the PlayStation 5 when it officially releases in the holidays of 2020. The assortment of video games reportedly releasing on the PS5 is interesting. The list includes the not yet announced titles as well as the heavily anticipated ones.
The poll was conducted on Twitter and generally inquired on the kinds of games the poll-takers are excited to play on Sony's next-generation gaming console. There are four options that the poll provided and includes "Horizon Zero Dawn 2," "The Last of Us 2 Online," "Ghost of Tsushima," and "Killzone Online." While most of this is more like an extrapolation like the title "Ghost of Tsushima," which is yet to get its release date since it was unveiled, the fact that some of the games like "Killzone Online" and "Horizon Zero Dawn 2" which are not yet announced are named, indirectly confirms that the titles are launching on Sony's PlayStation 5.
The online multiplayer of "The Last of Us 2" releasing on PlayStation 5 is much less of a stretch. The game has been officially announced to arrive on April 2020 without the multiplayer content. According to its developer, Naughty Dog, they intentionally planned this to put more emphasis on the story mode of the game instead of the multiplayer.
Aside from these games, earlier leaks stated that "Assassin's Creed 2020," "Death Stranding," "GTA 6," "Bully 2," and "God Of War 5," are also releasing on the PlayStation 5. The Twitter account of the PlayStation UK Magazine stated that the games included in their poll speculations on their part and in no way a form of official confirmation of the titles releasing on the PS5. However, some following are already making their own theories about the poll and others even asking what the post is implying.
At this point, we suggest that you take this information with a pinch of salt, just like how we treat all other leaks. Sony Interactive Entertainment has not yet revealed the official list of video games releasing on the PlayStation 5, and we have no clue when the Japanese gaming console maker is planning to announce these games. But, we are hoping that the PlayStation UK Magazine knows something about the PS5 that we don't.
Expect to read more leaks and speculations as the official release date of the PlayStation 5 draws near.
