There is little doubt that fans have been missing S.Coups. After all, the leader of SEVENTEEN has been in hiatus since November 2019 and didn't take part in most of the group's recent events including the Ode To You tour. However, it looks like Choi SeungCheol might finally be ready to start working again this year. The rapper recently offered an update on his health status and teased on his return from the lengthy hiatus.

Back in November 2019, Pledis Entertainment announced that S.Coups will be taking a break as he seeks help in dealing with his anxiety symptoms. Unfortunately, this meant that the leader of the Hip Hop Team would not be joining the rest of SEVENTEEN in their year-end performances as well as the North American leg of their Ode To You tour. Nevertheless, it seems like Jeonghan, Joshua, Jun, Hoshi, Wonwoo, Woozi, The8, Mingyu, DK, Seungkwan, Vernon and Dino still found ways to make sure Choi SeungCheol is still part of their appearances. In addition to that, S.Coups himself has made himself visible to their fans known as Carats.

The first clue that S.Coups would probably return soon came through a video which allegedly showed the SEVENTEEN leader hanging out with his fellow members. Not surprisingly, the video and accompanying images led to speculations that Choi SeungCheol is ready to come out of hiatus. Fans even had the hashtag #SEUNGCHEOL trending on Twitter to express how much they had missed the idol. However, some were quick to point out that the video was taken without the idols' consent and should not be shared.

Luckily, there were other ways that S.Coups made Carats happy. Fans have been delighted when S.Coups showed up in two episodes of Going Seventeen 2020. In the two-part episode 'DOUGHn't Lie', Choi SeungCheol joined Jeonghan, Joshua, Jun, Hoshi, Wonwoo, Woozi, The8, Mingyu, DK, Seungkwan, Vernon and Dino for a game that combined the Mafia game and a treasure hunt. Soon after the first episode aired, S.Coups posted on SEVENTEEN's official fancafe stating that he couldn't remember who the Mafias were in the game. Amazingly, the rapper would later join the rest of SEVENTEEN to celebrate Lee Chan's birthday party.

But how exactly is S.Coups doing these days? The idol has responded to a Carat who expressed how much they had missed him on the official SEVENTEEN fancafe. Choi SeungCheol opted to draw a smiley face for the post's title then wrote, "because i'm doing well so don't worry too much. I'll be back soon with a bright smile more than anyone else then have a nice dream everyone, wish you good health!" Needless to say, fans are now excited that S.Coups will be back in time for the group's next comeback.

For now, Pledis Entertainment has not yet confirmed S.Coups' return. Stay tuned for more updates on this story.
