"Among Us" is an online multiplayer social deduction game, and whether a player is acting as an Impostor or a Crewmate, strategy is everything. Picking the right entry in the game could be tricky but a smart tactic since it can throw people off easily. Here are some of the tips and tricks on how to have an invisible, blank, or no name in the game.

How to Make An Invisible Name in "Among Us"

Game developer Innersloth rolled out a patch in the game that disabled the ability to have a blank, invisible, or no name. When players input a blank name, it results in an error that says "inappropriate name" or "server refused user name." While the new update makes it impossible to do the trick, it also means that players could at least put something in the field to continue, although it is a little bit tricky.

"Among Us" players using PC will be limited to proper characters, but players on mobile can still achieve an almost blank name in the game. It is not as good as the blank or invisible name, though, but it could still work.

To have an almost invisible name in "Among Us, copy the dot placed in between the open and close quotation marks "ㆍ" After that, players must choose the name field in Online or Local and the field to get the Paste option. Paste the Unicode character but leave out the quotation marks. When players paste the dot in, they will find that it is almost as good as having a blank name at all.

How To Have An invisible Name For Local Games

Fortunately, the blank name or invisible name trick in "Among Us" is still allowed in Local games. To achieve the invisible name, players just need to copy the blank space in between the quotation marks "ㅤ". Then, they need to select the name field in Local or Online and click the field to get eh paste option.

Simply paste the Unicode character, but omit the quotation marks. If players happen to paste the quotation marks, they can simply delete them or just copy the Unicode again. After pasting the blank name, players should see the cursor moving slightly along, indicating that there is a character in that particular field. Players can now tap Done and jump into the game.

"Among Us" is now available on PC, iOS and Android devices.
