Dr. Gal Luft, an Israeli energy expert with strong ties to intelligence circles in Washington and Beijing, has accused Hunter Biden of using an FBI informant known as "One-Eye" to provide insider information to his Chinese business partners. Luft, a former Israel Defense Forces lieutenant colonel, made these allegations while facing extradition to the US on charges of arms trafficking to China and Libya, as well as violations of the Foreign Agents Registration Act.

The House Oversight Committee is currently investigating Luft's claims, which he first publicized on Twitter after being detained at a Cyprus airport. Luft has stated that he was arrested to prevent him from disclosing information about the Biden family and alleged FBI corruption, which he claims he reported to the Department of Justice (DOJ) in 2019.

According to Robert Henoch, Luft's American lawyer, the energy expert attempted to inform the DOJ four years ago that Chinese state-controlled energy company CEFC was paying Hunter Biden $100,000 a month and Joe Biden's brother Jim $65,000 a month in exchange for their FBI connections and the promotion of China's Belt and Road Initiative.

Luft's relationship with Hunter Biden's Chinese business partners, Patrick Ho and Ye Jianming, gave him insight into these dealings. Ye Jianming, the chairman of CEFC, allegedly revealed to Luft that Hunter had a highly placed informant in the FBI who was paid handsomely for providing sealed law enforcement information.

Henoch claims that the FBI mole, dubbed "One-Eye," informed Ye that the Southern District of New York was investigating him and/or Ho in late 2017. This tip-off led to Ye offering Hunter $1 million to act as his "private counsel" and subsequently fleeing to China, leaving his family behind in New York. Ye was later detained in Shanghai and disappeared.

Following Ye's departure, Ho returned to the US, only to be arrested by FBI agents at JFK Airport on charges of bribery and money laundering. Henoch describes Ho as the "fall guy" in this scenario. Ho was convicted in December 2018 and deported after serving a three-year sentence.

CEFC paid Hunter and Jim Biden an additional $4.9 million in monthly installments for 14 months beginning in August 2017, according to government records. Last week, the House Oversight Committee released bank statements showing that $1,065,000 was funneled to Hunter, Jim, and Hallie Biden, Hunter's former lover and widow of his late brother, Beau, from a Chinese company affiliated with CEFC.

Luft claims he contacted the DOJ following Ho's imprisonment, and federal investigators interviewed him for over 18 hours in Brussels in March 2019. However, he never heard from them again, and Joe Biden announced his candidacy for president a month later.

Henoch, who is currently fighting Luft's extradition from Israel, argues that the information Luft provided to the DOJ four years ago is the "missing link" in understanding the reason behind the China-Biden money transfers. He believes that this information is "explosive stuff" and could have significant consequences for the Biden family.

Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer (R-Ky.) confirmed to The Post last week that Henoch has been in contact with congressional investigators. Luft's Israeli attorney, Mordechai Tzivin, has suggested that powerful people may want Luft to "disappear" due to the potentially damaging nature of his testimony.
