King Charles is currently experiencing a detox nightmare as a result of his cancer diagnosis, which compelled him to give up his favorite alcoholic beverages, a new report suggested. The royal courtiers claimed that the sudden sobriety is driving the short-fused monarch to explode without any prior notice.
Sources stated that arid and dreary King Charles, who is 75 years old, has never been more challenging than it is now since he is experiencing the shakes, savage mood swings, and other physical and emotional symptoms that are associated with alcohol withdrawal.
“Charles was told by his medical team to quit alcohol. Not even one drink was permitted. For someone who relies on a triple martini right after breakfast to bolster him for the busy day ahead, this was horrendous news,” an unnamed insider told The National Enquirer.
As a result of the fact that the longstanding drinker had a habit of drinking wine with lunch, an aperitif before dinner, and further vino with his evening meal, followed by a cocktail or two before bed, the prohibition on alcoholic beverages proved to be the most challenging aspect of King Charles’ health struggle.
“Charles’ wife, Queen Camilla, says, ‘He won’t slow down and won’t do what he’s told.’ There are whispers he continues to booze, though not as much as he used to. It’s always helped him get through the stress of his daily schedule. Still, one or three drinks during the course of the day is considered bonkers when undergoing cancer treatment!” the informant claimed.
The ill sovereign's most recent problems allegedly began in January, when he was treated for a benign prostate enlargement. Shortly after that, King Charles was diagnosed with a malignancy that sources have identified as the lethal pancreatic variety, as per BBC. This occurred less than a year after he was crowned in May 2023.
King Charles has allegedly been in a "frightfully foul mood," shouting at underlings and finding fault with everyone and everything, according to a mole who murmurs that ever since the complaining guzzler put down the bottle, he has been in this mood constantly.
“Charles refuses to scale back and delegate to others. People knew him as a stubborn prince who sulked until he got his way. But now he’s an obstinate king who feels time is ticking away,” the mole said.
According to the naysayer, the crotchety monarch is acutely aware of the words spoken by his late mother, Queen Elizabeth, who emphasized that the head of the kingdom "needs to be seen to be believed.”
Despite the fact that King Charles has only made sporadic appearances in front of his subjects since his return, he has taken a break from his public obligations for a period of less than three months since the shocking revelation that he had cancer.
“Clearly, keeping a stiff upper lip is more important than doctors’ orders. Anyone can see he’s in terrible shape. He’s got an awful pallor to his complexion, and he’s stooped over,” the tattler claimed.
According to the opinions of medical professionals, King Charles would have very likely been prohibited from consuming alcohol because of the concern that it could reduce the efficacy of his therapies.
According to Dr. Stuart Fischer, an internist in Manhattan, even someone who had only two or three servings of spirits per day could experience the consequences of alcohol withdrawal if they suddenly removed themselves from the consumption of alcohol.
“The signs and symptoms would include heightened anxiety, possible depression, mood swings, inability to concentrate, racing thoughts, palpitations and muscle tremors,” Stuart, who has not treated the king, explained.
As King Charles struggled to deal with public criticism from his critical son Prince Harry and the alleged ovarian cancer problem of his much-loved daughter-in-law Princess Kate, who is married to his heir Prince William, the grumpy king was already down in the dumps before he became an involuntary teetotaler.
“To deprive Charles of his chief coping mechanism when he’s faced with so many obstacles seems cruel. His doctors say it is necessary if he wants to beat this disease. But there are some who say he won’t be able to do it,” the source suggested.
