The Beckhams' relationship with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle has been reported to be tight. However, rumors have circulated in recent years that the couples' friendship may be in jeopardy.
Speculations have been circulating that the relationship between the royal couple and the pair from show business has become icy due to snubs and an unfriendly phone call. Prince Harry, Prince William, and David and Victoria have all been friends for a long time.
Actually, Victoria met the two princes multiple times while she was a member of the Spice Girls, including at the premiere of “SpiceWorld: The Movie,” when they were both teenagers. Even during Meghan and Prince Harry's 2018 wedding, Posh and Becks were invited guests.
However, Meghan seems to be trying to make amends with the ex-singer-turned-fashion designer. While in Colombia, Victoria designed Meghan's brown silk shirt, which she wore to an engagement on Responsible Digital Future.
The Beckhams apparently wanted to ensure that Prince Harry felt comfortable in the UK, and they remained amicable with him when he began dating Meghan, as per The Mirror. Speculation even circulated that Victoria had even let Meghan peruse her personal roster of preferred London hairstylists.
The Sun said that biographer Tom Bower, who has authored books on both Meghan Markle and the Beckhams, asserted that the ex-footballer and fashion designer even extended an invitation for the now-Duchess of Sussex to stay at their Los Angeles home during the height of the media frenzy around her.
Shortly thereafter, however, the Sussexes were angered by claims that Victoria had helped Meghan, and tensions began to simmer. The ex-Manchester United player was reportedly "furious" when Prince Harry called him to confront him about his suspicions, according to the Mail On Sunday.
According to reports, Prince Harry and Meghan are eager to uncover the identity of whoever is leaking tales about them, since they are concerned that their close pals may be involved. Specifically, Meghan allegedly had suspicions about Victoria, and Prince Harry contacted David to restate those suspicions.
"David and Victoria went to Meghan and Harry's wedding and were very supportive when Meghan arrived in the UK,” an unnamed source close to the Beckhams claimed.
Afterwards, the couple seemed to put the ordeal behind them with David and Victoria at St George's Chapel in Windsor to see Prince Harry and Meghan get married in May 2018. Victoria wore a chic navy dress and hat while David looked smart in a morning suit.
Several months later, the royal couple headed off on a tour of Australia, New Zealand, and the South Pacific, which coincided with the 2018 Invictus Games, which were being held in Sydney. Prince Harry and a pregnant Meghan appeared at the opening ceremony of the Games.
Supposedly, Prince Harry had invited David to be an Invictus Games ambassador, but tensions rose when the prince declined to see the former England football captain during the 2018 Sydney event. Some speculated that Meghan's worry that Victoria would leak information about her to the press was the reason Prince Harry was keeping his pal at arm's length from her.
