It's not that OnePlus is spoiling us with what the OnePlus 7 and 7 Pro would be like come May 14. The company is just generous when it comes to giving its followers with snippets that add to the excitement. Both Smartphones are no longer a mystery; they are near tangible devices and the only thing that's left is the official announcement.

Leaks and rumors still hype up OnePlus' upcoming Smartphones, though. From the recent Geekbench scores of the OnePlus 7 Pro to the supposed curved screen protector, almost everything about the flagship device is being divulged. Now, official camera samples of the OnePlus 7 Pro were recently shared by the company.

First off, we all know that the OnePlus 7 Pro will ship with a triple camera setup. However, the camera remained to be untested up until Wired got hold of an official OnePlus 7 Pro unit. While 9to5 Google confirmed that the aforementioned phone will have a 3x optical zoom lens, it's not "quite as impressive" as the "periscope zoom lenses" of the Huawei P30 Pro and Oppo Reno.

5x optical zoom, as Wired said via the website, can be too much in some situations. 3x zoom, on the other hand, offers a "more accessible field of view." Whatever the case may be, OnePlus will have more than just its camera to sell to the market. It is, as one website puts it, "impressive in some aspects."

To get us "closer to the action," OnePlus took to Twitter and posted a trio of sample shots taken from the OnePlus 7 Pro. The user took a picture of the same bird and apparently zooming on it three times. This highlighted the device's 3x optical zoom and by the looks of it, it retained an ample amount of details. OnePlus didn't mention the settings that the photographer used, nor did it say that they indeed stretched the OnePlus 7 Pro's camera to its maximum zoom capability.

9to5 Google also discovered that the 3x zoom lens can be used to help depth measurement when the camera is used in Portrait mode. In addition, they echoed OnePlus statement that they have improved several aspects of the OnePlus 7 Pro's camera such as low-light operation and HDR developments.

The low-light operation was a weak spot of OnePlus in the past, but thanks to a "new sensor and software tweaks," the OnePlus 7 Pro's "Nightscape" feature was improved. The same can be said with HDR, now that it can hold "realistic color temperature and tonal fidelity," among others.
