The US President and the Chinese President have recently agreed to a new ceasefire from a yearlong trade conflict between the US and China during their talk last June 30 at the G20 conference held in Japan. The US President said that he had given his nod to the Chinese president that the US would cease to increase tariffs on the imports of China for now. Beijing, on the other hand, would purchase more US agricultural products.
The US president revealed this information during the news conference at the end of the two-day summit held in Osaka, Japan. He also claimed that the relationships between the two countries are right back on track. President trump also shared that US companies can now sell products once again to the Chinese tech titan and 5G leader Huawei after the US ban was introduced in May.
In his own words, the US president was quoted saying that the US will send and sell to Huawei a massive number of products used in the different things that the company makes. He added that he has agreed to continue to sell their products in order for American companies to continue as well. He was also asked if his pronouncement means that Huawei would be officially removed from the list of companies that the US Commerce Department consider those which undermine the national security of the US.
The US president answered that it would be discussed at the end of the trade talks. He added that the subject would not be discussed with Chinese president Xi Jinping. Stalled trade talks would commence, and the US would hold off on additional tariffs on Chinese products, confirmed by the Chinese state-run news agency, Xinhua.

Meanwhile, Chinese President Xi Jinping talked about the ping-pong diplomacy that aided the start of the US-China relations a couple of generations ago. He said that one fact stays the same, and that is, both countries enjoyed the benefits of that cooperation. The Chinese president added that dialogue and cooperation are far better than confrontation and friction.

It can be recalled that the US president Donald Trump has earlier threatened to enforce tariffs on extra $300bn Chinese imports aside from the $250bn goods that were already taxed, which means expanding import taxes to almost everything that the Southeast Asian country ships to the United States. The recent talk with the Chinese president, according to US President Donald Trump went even better than expected.
