Paul Pogba will reportedly reject any offers coming from Manchester United to extend his deal at the club. He was previously linked to Real Madrid, even addressing his desire to leave publicly, but it is understood that United has barred any attempts for the player to make a transfer.

Pogba has an asking price of £180 million and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer confirmed after his side's draw with Southampton the playmaker would be staying at Old Trafford. Now the Frenchman has reached a decision just in time before the European transfer window closes on Sept. 2.

Metro UK reports that United are keen on making Pogba sign a new long-term deal, with two years left on his current contract. The club can extend that deal to 1 more year, but they are reportedly hopeful Pogba would agree to new terms once rumors of his transfer subsided. However, Pogba is planning to reject any offers from the Red Devils in order to secure a move to Real Madrid sooner.

Pogba has already promised Solskjaer he will play for United for the coming season. The club on Saturday ended up disappointing fans in a match with Southampton.

"I think we as a team after about half-an-hour started giving sloppy balls away and Paul was one of them. He wasn't any different to anyone else," Solskjaer said post-match.

"Everyone expects everything from him every game, he has to defend, he has to attack, he has to win headers, he has to dribble past people, he has to make passes. That's just Paul and he'll thrive on that."

While Pogba will likely remain at the club, he will not be featuring in the Red Devils' new calendar for 2020. According to The Sun, the club had been aware of his intentions to leave, and they were sure he would eventually, leading to the decision to axe him from the 2020 calendar.

A source at the club stated: "The execs just couldn't take a chance on Pogba. He seemed certain to leave and the last thing the commercial department wanted was tens of thousands of calendars with his mug on so it was better to leave him out."

The France international is a huge commercial asset for the club, featuring heavily on the clubs website and in marketing campaigns when selling merchandise.
