Italian champions Juventus are reportedly keen on signing three of Manchester United's players: Eric Bailly, Nemanja Matic, and David de Gea ahead of the January transfer window.
The European transfer window has since closed, but rumors are still emerging over what will happen when it reopens in January. The new speculation is that three of United's players are off to Italy.
De Gea's future has been in the spotlight for years, and his name pops up once in a while when transfer news is concerned. A couple of seasons ago, he came close signing with Real Madrid, but at the last minute, the deal collapsed, and he has played for United ever since.
It is believed, however, that Old Trafford is looking at selling De Gea as his contract is almost due. If they are clawing back for more cash, they will have to sell come January.
In January, De Gea is free to conduct deals with any club and will be available on a free transfer, and that's if Man Utd offers him a new contract. This season has not been well for the Spaniard, and it has been suggested that his time in United is close to ending.
Thibaut Courtois is currently Real Madrid's number one so a move to Juve seems unlikely. Although it is an appealing thought.
As for Bailly, Juve considers him a good replacement for Giorgio Chiellini, who now suffers from ruptured knee ligaments and will be on the sidelines for six months. The United defender is unfit right now, but it's expected he'll be in good shape by January.
The arrival of Harry Maguire at United has compromised Bailly's position, so a move to Turin seems like the best course of action to take for the player.
Meanwhile, Matic has said before that his relationship with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is all good and there have been no issues. However, he sure lacks a lot of game time, which is seen as problematic on his part, especially if things don't improve for him after the international break.
United's pecking role has seen some changes, and now the Serbian falls behind Scott McTominay. He has played a little bit since the new season got underway.
United are surely experiencing a lot of reshaping under Solskjaer. It is believed that Bailly, Matic, and De Gea is as good as old once Juventus formally makes an offer.
