After going on a scary rant about Hillary Clinton and the "terrible things" he could have done to her when he was still in the White House, former President Donald Trump was ridiculed for his behavior.

At the same time that they brought up Trump's earlier sexual abuse prosecution involving E. Jean Carroll, a number of the most vocal critics of the former president took to social media to point out the disturbing language that Trump used in his statements about Clinton.

"Let's not forget, Trump was found liable for r------ a woman in New York City,” a netizen stated. "Always the victim. Perpetual cry baby. It's pathetic and unbelievable that this absolute creep once was #POTUS. And to think some people see him as a beacon of masculinity, makes you chuckle,” another commented. "Are you allowed to have a restraining order against a former president? Or will the Supreme Court f--- that up too?" a third person shared.

At the impromptu news conference that President Trump had at Mar-a-Lago on Thursday, August 8, he went on a long-winded and aimless rant in which he claimed that he was "protective" of Clinton. He also used language that was extremely menacing to describe what he could have done.

"I could have done things to her that would've made your head spin. I thought it was a really bad thing to take the wife of a president of the United States and put her in jail. And then I see the way they treat me — that's the way it goes,” Donald told the press.

"But I was very protective of her. Nobody would understand that but I was. I think my people understand it. They used to say 'lock her up, lock her up,' and I'd say just relax please,” the former POTUS added.

OK! Magazine previously reported that President Trump has been making an effort to distance himself from his earlier comments during rallies in which he referred to Stormy Daniels as "lock her up." This is especially noticeable now that he is facing punishment for the 34 charges that revolve around hush money payments that he made to her.

"The country doesn’t want that. And you know what? They didn’t want it with Hillary Clinton either. I thought it was terrible. I’d make a speech, everyone would say, 'Lock her up, lock her up, lock her up,'” Donald shared.

Throughout the course of the conversation, Trump reaffirmed his enthusiasm for bringing the nation together and emphasized the significance of making progress in a constructive manner.

“Hillary Clinton — I didn’t say lock her up, but the people said lock her up, lock her up,” Donald falsely claimed in a recent interview with “Fox & Friends Weekend.”

Videos of the former president and his followers reciting the chant over the years have been widely shared on social media. These videos also included excerpts from a debate that took place in 2016, during which Donald recommended that Clinton be locked up to her face on live television.
