One of the striking features that the Oppo R17 Pro has to offer is the triple camera setup. While most phones coming out have offered the same, the best way to assess if this new technology is any good is through the photos and videos actually captured by the device.
The Oppo R17 Pro offers a triple camera similar to what rival handset such as the Huawei P20 Pro and the Samsung Galaxy S9 Plus has to offer. To show off the actual quality of shots potential buyers should expect, the Chinese company published some sample shots via its official Weibo account.
To the ordinary eye, the captured stills may not immediately make an impact. But for photo-capturing enthusiasts, noticeable from it is that it was captured in a low-lit environment and yet showed no signs of digital noise. That alone speaks well for the triple camera capabilities of the Oppo R17 Pro, meaning folks will have to worry less about storing poorly taken photos in different environmental settings since necessary tweaking is minimal to none.
As far as the technical specs of the main camera, the Oppo R17 Pro boasts of three sensors. The first sports a 16 MP resolution, the second a 20 MP resolution and the third of which is 8 MP that is also capable of 3X optical zoom without worrying about the loss to detail, Gizmo China said. Aside from that, folks who love taking selfies can also expect good quality with the 20 MP front-facing camera.
As far as the sample photos, it would be best to consider as well that the people behind it may have applied necessary preparations to produce impressive shots. The case will be different once an actual owner starts snapping photos. The only reprieve is that enhancements and tweaking may now be minimal, depending on a user’s preference.

In terms of power, the Oppo R17 Pro will come with an overclocked Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 SoC backed by 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal storage (expandable up to 256 GB via microSD). The dual-SIM ready device will bank on a 3,415 mAh battery and come with Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box.
