Rockstar Games wants to clarify that their top priority is Red Dead Online, at least for now. If you're one of those expecting for more Red Dead Redemption 2 DLC, the publisher says there will be none.

Rockstar Games' lead online production associate Katie Pica told VG24/7 that the studio is "100 percent focused" on Red Dead Online and not on a single-player DLC for Red Dead Redemption 2.

"We're 100% focused on online right now, because like I said, there's just so much to do," Pica revealed. "We're hoping to bring everything that a player can love about single-player into the online world, and fleshed out."

RDR2's "absolutely massive" core narrative was proof the company cared about the single-player experience, Pica added.

Rockstar is planning to add more content and expand the massive world of Red Dead Online. Earlier this month, the Frontier Update was launched, providing a glimpse of what the studio intends for the future of the online counterpart.

While fans were hopeful, Rockstar's decision isn't a complete shock. If we look at Grand Theft Auto 5, the game hasn't had any significant single-player expansions at all.

The first Red Dead had some pretty good multiplayer updates, but if we're going to rate all of them, perhaps the best DLC from the game was the Undead Nightmare expansion with a zombie-focused solo campaign. Based on Pica's statement, it doesn't look like we'll see the same in RDR2, at least not in the near future.

The video game industry has always catered more to the multiplayer crowd because it's more lucrative. Both Rockstar and its parent company Take Two are profiting immensely from Red Dead Online and GTA Online.

Red Dead Online is getting more popular than its predecessor as well, and to keep it more profitable, adding multiplayer is a sure-fire way to see its long-term success. As for players who prefer to keep things to themselves, however, there's not much consolation.

RDO players sure do look like they're having a ton of fun though. Recently, a group of players did a walk meet but all of them were carrying a big old bowl of stew. This soup walk was organized by RDO player Zoobs and filmed by Redditor Slonitram.

More than a dozen players gathered in the southwest area of the RDO map and made some stew at a campfire. Each player got himself a bowl of hot stew and proceeded to walk across the map.
